Because life has no borders!

Located in downtown NYC, MSG, opened its doors on the day of Hinamatsuri-the Japanese festival
celebrating the health and happiness of girls. Appropriately situated at a crossroads between Nolita,
Chinatown, Soho, and the Lower East Side MSG embodies the cross cultures that merge in this NYC
intersection. “I chose this area because of the incredible energy of these four great neighborhoods;
so many cultures collide here in a way that really captures the spirit of downtown New York,” explains
Mami Suzuki MSG’s designer and founder. Small yet full of fashion treasures, Suzuki, brings
together a collection of in-house pieces along with Japanese designers such as Iliann Loeb,
Rekisami and Alpha Style as well as Brazilian handbag designer, Daniella Zylbersztain, UK designer
Enshallah and incredible jewelry collaboration with the one and only Mimi Golzer to some NYC most
notorious fashion divas. Suzuki aims to introduce hard to find unique items from International
designers, particularly Japanese designers, to her quaint shop in one of the biggest cities in the
world.
The MSG collection embodies Suzuki’s many years of fashion
experience and her own personal style. The Japanese born and
raised designer graduated from School of Design with a prestigious
Golden Thimble award. Having worked with as a designer, buyer, and
merchandiser in both New York and Tokyo for such companies like
Marc Jacobs, Look in -Tokyo, Natori in New York Suzuki finds that the
two cities share “common fearless spirit when it comes to fashion.”
“Many designers and models gained notoriety in Japan first before
becoming fashion mainstays; I’m hoping to do the reverse by
introducing more up-and-coming Japanese designers to the New York
scene,” she explains.
The boutique is a treasure trove of collectible clothing for discerning
clientele constantly on the hunt for one-of-a-kind gems to add to their
singular clothing archives, and the MSG line is quickly becoming
another successful Indie label out of NYC.
