Sas Christian makes us go “hmm.”

Her brilliant art pieces give us a powerful look into her subject’s soul through an anime style with bright
shinning eyes, but unlike most traditional anime Sas takes her paintings and sculptures to another level.
The self-prescribed anti-social London native was not always a
painter.  After moving to Florida from London with her husband Colin
Christian, Sas, worked along with Colin in their newly formed company
called Hotbox Inc. which produced couture latex clothing and
costumes.   They then moved the business into commercial sculpture,
producing statues and other decorative elements for various
businesses like nightclubs and restaurants. Sas's role was as a
fiberglasser and a finisher.

She began painting with acrylics in 1999 and finally began working with
oils in 2003.  Combining the techniques she loved from the old
masters such as Bouguereau, Tamara De Lempicka, Mark Ryden with
the styles of anime and the inspirations she draws from everyday
occurrences, music, and movies Sas creates life-like masterpieces
that are awe- inspiring and somewhat disturbing.  Since her first days
as a transitioning painter her progressive works have undoubtedly
become a remarkable addition to the global art community.

With the debut of her book, Looking In:  A Collection of Paintings by Sas
Christian, and her many national gallery showings, Sas has managed
to stay incredibly busy in the past couple of years selling prints and
paintings across the globe.
